The summer months can be amongst the most challenging times in the meat processing industry in Ireland. The big demand is of course, trims for processing, burgers and kebabs… essentially what everybody is eating while the sun shines.
Steak cuts are also in strong demand with the Euro soccer championships in France. The influx of people here are driving this market.
Lets hope the sun keeps shining so grass growth and quality will be good and our farmers in Ireland can continue to do a great job in producing some of the best beef in the world!
